Dr. Juanita Bonds is the esteemed founder of TrueSkin MedEsthetics, where her expertise as a certified paramedical DMK MD practitioner takes center stage. With over twenty years of executive-level healthcare experience, Dr. Bonds has dedicated her career to addressing the unique needs of darker skin and melanin-rich individuals.
Having earned her Ph.D. and achieved fellowship status as a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE), Dr. Bonds' education and achievements have solidified her as an influential figure in the healthcare industry. Her passion for wellness and her belief that "wellness isn't just not being sick; it's a continuous journey toward balance and vitality" have guided her career path and fueled her commitment to providing exceptional healthcare services.
Throughout her career, Dr. Bonds has been a trailblazer, serving as CEO of multiple healthcare organizations, including Oasis Rehabilitation Hospital, where she became the first African American in the state of Louisiana to own and operate a hospital in 1998. Her impact extended to the governmental and legislative spheres, where she served as the Executive Director for the State Interagency Coordinating Council (SICC) under the direction of Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards. Dr. Bonds also contributed her expertise as a Children's Cabinet Advisory Board Member for Louisiana's Early Steps program and as Board Chairman for the Grandparents Raising Grandchildren program.
Her passion for healthcare and her experience in serving various communities led her to establish TrueSkin MedEsthetics. Driven by a clear mission to offer personalized, results-driven skincare treatments tailored to the unique needs of each client, Dr. Bonds' vision is rooted in promoting inclusivity and empowering individuals to embrace and enhance their natural beauty.

Dr. Michael Carter M.D.
Dr. Carter M.D. is an esteemed board-certified physician with over 35 years of experience across multiple disciplines. With a background as a board-certified Anesthesiologist, he practiced for 16 years before making a transition into medical aesthetics and weight loss specialties. Dr. Carter's dedication to continuous learning led him to become a co-medical director at the Ashworth Medical Center in Florida, where he further honed his skills through extensive training both within the United States and abroad.
As the Medical Director for TrueSkin MedEsthetics, Dr. Carter brings his expertise and passion to align with our vision of providing exceptional and comprehensive care. He has been instrumental in opening seven clinics in Georgia and Florida, specializing in various treatments, including Liposuction, fat transfer techniques, Brazilian Buttock Augmentation, anti-aging Medicine, and Functional Medicine.
Dr. Carter's focus on Functional Integrative Medicine allows him to delve into the root causes of disease syndromes, aiming to enhance the body's ability to stave off illnesses. As a practitioner of Functional Integrative Medicine, he offers his patients a combination of natural supplements, advanced technology, alternative treatments, selective medicines, and effective diet and exercise regimens to support detoxification, rejuvenation, and regeneration for optimal health.
As a member of the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine and the Institute for Functional Medicine, Dr. Carter continually advances his knowledge and expertise. He completed stem cell fellowship and peptide certification programs at the A4M, adding to his arsenal of treatments and therapies.
Dr. Carter's commitment to achieving ultimate health for his patients extends beyond his work at TrueSkin MedEsthetics. He serves as the Corporate Medical Director of Real Health Clinics, a company dedicated to treating and reversing Alzheimer's, where he incorporates a functional medicine approach taught by Dr. Dale Bredeson.
Dr. Carter's educational journey includes earning his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with Magna Cum Laude honors from Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia. He is also a member of the prestigious Phi Beta Kappa Academic Honors Society. He completed his MD at Howard University in Washington, DC, and successfully completed his residency at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.
